There’s nothing like starting off the weekend with an evening at home, it’s been a while since I’ve been home on a Friday night. I usually go out to spend time with friends but it’s nice to have a night to myself once in a while It’s been getting cold lately, which makes me want to stay home more often. The highs are now in the 60’s and the lows are in the 40’s I’m not ready for winter just yet, I know I’m going to hate my commute to work and home more than I do now.

The walls of the townhouse I moved into with my 2 roommates back in June are still bare. I’ve been searching for some artwork to purchase but haven’t had much luck One particular wall we’re looking to fill is the spot above our fireplace so something wide would definitely look better than something tall. I think my roommates prefer something on the modern side If you have any favorite artists or know of a place that sells nice artwork, please let me know. I’m really open to any suggestions at this point.

Another month has gone by so quickly. I spent the last few weekends of summer doing some traveling, which is why I haven’t been around much Some friends and I went on 3 road trips, the last one being to Canada. One of my friends had never been out of the country and since we didn’t want to spend too much money and didn’t have too much time, we decided that Canada was the way to go. We spent a few days around Niagara Falls, hiking and doing some sightseeing. I didn’t think I would enjoy it that much since I’ve been many times with my family before, I guess it’s different when you go with friends. The best part was that the weather was perfect We also drove to Toronto for good food and some more sightseeing downtown. Overall, it was a wonderful time away from home and a great way to end the summer.

Last month was a really busy one, as you can probably tell from the lack of updates. It all started when one of the directors in the hospital department at my full-time job needed major surgery at the beginning of the month and not too long after, another one of our directors needed major surgery as well I already received news that both of their surgeries went well but they are still at home recovering so it’s been difficult covering for them and splitting up the workload among my co-workers and I. It should all be better this month though… hopefully At least I love my job and what I do, that’s important.

Aside from being busy with work, I’ve also been trying to play tennis on Saturday whenever the weather permits We got a lot of rain last month, at least 2 full weeks of it. The good thing though, is that the weather hasn’t been too hot or unbearable yet. My roommates and I haven’t made us of our central AC since moving in, I actually think that we’ll be able to make it through the summer without it… granted, the 3 of us do go out a lot so we’re rarely at home anyway The temperature was only in the low 90’s for 2 days and that’s the hottest it’s been so far but it’s nice to save money.

Having another birthday pass and being in the mid 20’s has definitely made me feel old but I’m going to try to make the best out of another year. My friends took me out after work Tuesday night and we went to a Korean restaurant for dinner My family and my godparents took me out for dinner last night and we ate at a French restaurant, it was something different and the food was excellent. The last time my parents celebrated my birthday with me was in high school and before I started college Anyhow, I enjoyed my birthday and the delicious food and good company helped to make up for my turning a year older. The time, days, months, and years go by so fast.

After moving at the beginning of June and not having cable or internet for a couple weeks, I’m finally back! I never thought that I would have been able to survive without internet for such a long period of time There were several times where I would sneak on while I was at work. I didn’t think that it would take so long to setup an appointment to have someone from Comcast come by my new place to do the installation but I have cable and internet again! I’ll visit your sites soon I have so many things I have to catch up on so please be patient, it’s going to take some time for me to get back into the swing of things.

It’s about time something new was up, this wasn’t the new layout that I had originally wanted to put up but the other one is taking longer for me to perfect that I had expected so I made this over the weekend and just updated Wordpress and the plugins again. In addition to a new layout, I also decided to switch up the smilies I fixed the forms on the content pages yesterday so they should be working again, please let me know if you run into any problems when submitting them. Amidst getting the new layout up, I forget to save a screen shot of the last layout Maybe I’ll just reuse it sometime in the future.

As you can imagine, have 2 jobs is quite a handful and it definitely has been for me. I’m exhausted by the time I get home from work and all I want to do is nap However, I somehow manage to stay awake and cook dinner for myself and keep myself busy until at least 9 PM. I’m usually in bed no later than 10 PM. I’ve found that I don’t function as well at work during the day if I get too much sleep each night so I limit myself to 7 or 8 hours and that has worked out well so far With that being said, it’s way past my bedtime.
